The flip side of that intention is that the Solje is a good luck charm...and what better way to wish someone well for a major transition in life including a wedding. All Solje designs feature reflective spoon-like pieces that are intended to shine or catch the light. This beautiful example was made in 1941 by Norwegian-American silversmith E. O. Erickson. It features a sterling silver filigree with the traditional gilded spoon-like drops that dance and dangle from the base. It is outfitted with straight pin hardware and a safety catch. Hallmarked at the back with artist mark and date. Accompanied by the original box. A very special piece for a very special occasion.

Good vintage condition. There is some darkened patina. The box shows signs of age and storage.

The brooch measures 4.25" long x 2.13" wide x .5" deep including the straight pin hardware. See less
