This white and brown painting on paper is from artist Michael DesRosiers’s ongoing series Marked Fields, a collective of works in which the pleasure of the intuitive hand is conjoined with the operative experience of this abstract artist. Linearities of various widths reach across the composition, twisting together as they find their way in and out of the resulting entanglement. As reflective as this non-objective work could be of the fundamental workings of nature, the artist sees them as fingerprints of consciousness, the interior state within the mind where absorbed experience is recorded in an infinite array of possibilities.

The artwork is intentionally unframed, allowing the client to select their preferred framing style. However, the artist recommends a simple contemporary molding paired with a white mat approximately four to five inches wide on all sides.
