From Cantagalli Pottery in Florence, Italy, this hand painted Majolica earthenware set features the coffee pot, sugar and creamer and 6 cups and saucers. Beautifully painted in the Renaissance Revival style with a blue glazed background and a floral design. The saucers have a raised scalloped border, a molded cup holder, and a lovely red roped border.
The 10" coffee pot and matching sugar and creamer are very rare and complete the set.
The Cantagalli family operated their pottery works in Florence beginning in the 15th Century until the pottery closed its doors in 1985.
