A carved finial at the crown. An arched pediment. Ten individual glass panes per door. This antique Indian armoire is architecture in miniature- each detail the decision of a craftsman who saw no reason to stop short of complete. The result is a piece that rewards attention at every scale.
Solid teak with a warm, honey-brown patina. Two doors each feature a grid of 10 individual glass panes, creating a window- like frontage that reveals interior shelving in full. An arched crown with carved finial sits above the stepped cornice. Original brass butterfly latch hardware.
For the collector who looks closely. A study, a library, or a living room where things are placed with intention.
