"Kaleidoscope Chairs I" is the opening image in Clifford Baker's three-part Kaleidoscope Chairs series, photographed aboard a Princess Cruise to Alaska in 2009. Rather than turning his camera toward the passing landscape, Baker found inspiration in the quiet geometry of the ship itself, transforming an everyday seating area into an elegant study of light, color, and design.

Two white deck chairs and a circular standing table become the focal point of a carefully balanced composition of intersecting architectural lines, brilliant cobalt blues, and luminous golden light. Long angular shadows stretch across the deck, creating an ever-changing pattern that evokes the shifting rhythms of the sea while blurring the line between photography and abstract painting.

Printed on archival matte photographic paper, this original photograph measures 13 inches by 19 inches and is offered unframed.

Although unsigned by hand, the print bears Clifford Baker's official artist logo stamp together with his authorized signature stamp. Due to the artist's advanced age, these stamps are applied with his approval to authenticate original prints that were not personally signed when produced. See less
