Whether it came from the hands of a skilled designer or an experienced carpenter, one thing is certain: this was built to last. No shortcuts, no wobble, no unnecessary decoration. Just honest materials, clever construction and proportions that feel effortlessly right.

the zinc top tells its own story. It almost certainly spent its earlier life in a workshop, boutique or atelier. One can easily picture long rolls of wallpaper being measured and cut across its generous surface, fabrics carefully laid out, or parcels wrapped with brown paper and string. Whatever its past, it has earned the gentle patina it wears today.

now, it is ready for a second act. We particularly love it as a kitchen island or preparation table. The cool zinc surface is wonderfully practical, while the warm timber base keeps the overall look inviting rather than industrial. It strikes that elusive balance between rustic french country house and understated atelier chic.
