Originally conceived by Newson in 1989, the Felt Chair has become one of the defining works of contemporary collectible design. This highly sought-after 2005 edition reinterprets the iconic sculptural form with a brilliant white lacquered fiberglass shell adorned with individually hand-airbrushed, biomorphic "Orgone" color fields in vivid red, orange, yellow, green, and blue. Each chair was produced in a numbered edition of just ninety-nine pieces, making this one of the rarest and most desirable versions of the design.

The seamless monocoque form demonstrates Newson's signature organic aesthetic, functioning equally as a sculptural artwork and a comfortable lounge chair. Examples from this limited edition are held in important private collections worldwide and rarely appear on the market.
