Genuine antique solid wood picture frame with heavily embossed gold gesso scrollwork throughout in the Victorian Baroque Revival style, circa 1880s. Deep 1.5” rabbet, 17x21” exterior, 15x11” interior opening. Original layered paint history visible on reverse — green/sage undercoat beneath gold surface — a hallmark of authentic period frames. Heavy and substantial. Minor age-appropriate wear consistent with 140+ years of history. Ready to hang. A serious collector piece.
