In "Alien Landscape 8", Daniel Ketelhut visualizes the Buddhist doctrine of "dependent origination" through a rhythmic, biomorphic composition. The work embodies "Karma and Rebirth" by layering translucent glazes over remnants of previous iterations, allowing the "past" of the canvas to influence its "present" state.
Muted neutrals are interrupted by vibrant flashes of amber, teal, and crimson, marking the series' evolution toward "emotional intensity".
