Antique Late-1800s Solid Cherry Victorian Dresser / Dressing Chest with Triple Mirrors
Beautiful and unusual late-19th-century Victorian dressing chest or dresser crafted from solid cherry. The standout feature is its striking three-mirror design, with a center dressing mirror flanked by two dramatic full-length mirrors that pivot outward. Built into either side of the center mirror are two charming concealed storage cabinets, making this an exceptionally distinctive and functional piece.
The dresser features four spacious drawers constructed with traditional hand-cut dovetail joinery, a hallmark of the craftsmanship and furniture-making techniques of the period. It retains its original hardware along with beautiful decorative woodwork throughout. The solid cherry has developed a rich, warm patina over more than a century, highlighting the character and natural beauty of the wood.
All three mirrors, drawers, hardware and side cabinets are intact and functional. Despite its age, the piece presents beautifully and makes an impressive statement from every angle.
This is much more than a traditional antique dresser. The combination of full-length pivoting mirrors, a center dressing mirror, concealed side storage, hand-cut dovetail construction and substantial solid-cherry craftsmanship makes it an especially unusual piece. It would be beautiful in a primary bedroom, dressing room, historic home or anywhere a one-of-a-kind piece of antique furniture can be appreciated.
