Vintage Scandinavian expandable teak dining table with internal leaf storage, made by Nordic Furniture Company c. 1980s. With the two included leaves it reaches a maximum length of 101.75 inches, accommodating 10 guests with ease.
The boat-shaped dining surface narrows subtly from the center to the ends, creating additional space to traverse the corners of the table without sacrificing space in the middle. The rectangle tapered legs are connected by bowtie stretcher bars, combining rock-solid stability with a slender, stylized look.
The tabletop was used with protective pads and shows very little wear. The leaves were scarcely used and also show beautifully. The legs and frame are free from noteworthy imperfections. Overall this table remains in fantastic original condition. It has been freshly oiled to restore color and chatoyance to the grain.
Stamped "Made in Canada" on the underside.
