The form is monolithic and self-contained — a Yakisugi-charred shaft rising from a carved stone base to a carved stone crown, the structure closed at both ends. Light comes from within, shaped and animated by the deep, irregular texture of the surrounding charred wood.

The Raw Collection begins with what is at risk of being discarded — old barn beam wood, leftover stone, marble fragments. These are treated using Yakisugi and finished with natural oils and beeswax; surfaces are hand-carved with deliberate intention. Nothing synthetic is introduced.

What results is an object that carries its full material history: charred timber, raw stone, the knots and grain of a reclaimed column. Light passing through the shaft is conditioned by all of it — warm, textured, and never uniform.

For an interior where a floor lamp can stand as a vertical sculptural form. One of a kind; stone and wood character vary between pieces.
