Its vertical form rises with the quality of a landscape feature — charred wood at the base, a marble-interrupted midpoint, an artisanal lampshade completing the crown. No two components are identical; the proportions are held by material logic rather than industrial precision.

The making draws on a repurposed side table, vintage lamp parts, and marble fragments that would otherwise have been discarded. The wood is treated using Yakisugi, charred and then finished with natural oils and beeswax. Cork protects the floor surface beneath.

What results is a lamp that stands as a sculptural presence — its surface dark and textured, the marble remnants catching light at the midpoint of the form. No two pieces read identically in a room.
