The border is decorated with blue clouds or wave on a cross-hatched background interspersed with flowers.
The body is decorated with a dark orange background with four panels of flowers and vines and a geometric design in lavender and green.
Some have suggested the design was derived from an old Chinese pattern depicting a tree with elaborate foliage that hides a Chinese character representing longevity or happiness. However, the image also can be interpreted as a dollar sign, giving the pattern the name collectors have adopted name.
Between these panels are what appear to be waterlilies decorated in gold and blue.
The reverse bears no makers mark and is decorated with a red cross-hatched band and two red floral designs.
The base is decorated with two blue circles. See less
