The … Read more Crystal and Gold Vase from the Directoire Period composed of three elements: a plate, the vase, and the lid. The three bodies have a decagonal shape punctuated by white and blue enamel lines near the edges; at the centers of these lines are alternating gold geometric decorations and floral decorations in two shades of rich and pale gold. The base plate has a scalloped edge with minimal chipping in some areas. At the center of the base of the vase and the plate is a carved 16-pointed star outlined in blue and white enamel on the plate. The lid handle is hexagonal with gold floral decorations and blue enameled ovals. See less
