Elegant chair attributed to Joseph Kohn, representative of the Vienna Secession movement of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
The piece stands out for the purity of its lines, its structural simplicity, and the refined curve of the wood—essential characteristics of Central European design of the period.
Made using the innovative steam-bent wood technique developed by the great Viennese workshops, this chair combines structural lightness with great strength.
Its stylized silhouette and formal balance reflect the transition to a more rational and geometric aesthetic, characteristic of the Secession, which sought to integrate art, architecture, and design into a modern language.
