Rectangular cigar humidor with canted corners, crafted from wood and lacquer with a Japanese-inspired design of birds and branches in black and gold on an orange-red background. The monogrammed drop-front reveals six removable trays. The lock bears the signature of Maison Giroux in Paris. Alphonse Giroux (1776-1848) was one of the most celebrated cabinetmakers, and his creations remain highly sought after and of excellent quality. The hinges are guilloché, and the humidor is in very good condition.
