Exceptional and rare Bauhaus table lamp from 1930s Czechoslovakia, distinguished by its architectural composition and refined functionalist design. The lamp features a nickel-plated metal structure with a cantilevered arm supporting a circular opaline glass diffuser. Its clean geometric lines and balanced proportions embody the essence of Bauhaus design principles. Sourced from a villa in close proximity to Villa Tugendhat in Brno, this piece carries notable provenance within one of the most important centers of modernist architecture in Central Europe. The lamp remains in good original condition, showing a beautiful natural patina on the nickel surface that enhances its authenticity and character. Professionally rewired and fully compatible with US standards.
