The hand-crafted piece is made … Read more This high-quality armchair was designed by Lucian Randolph Ercolani and was manufactured during the 1950s. The hand-crafted piece is made from elm wood. Also called the "chairmaker's chair" (Model 316) this range of chairs became iconic stables of British Mid-Century Modern design. It shows a beautiful combination of traditional wood joints, the eye-catching spindle backrest and the "ergonomic" wooden seat. It is the perfect piece to lounge in style!
The chair has been carefully restored and seat pad and back rest are now UK fire req compliant. The slate grey boucle is a nice contrast to the warm honey tones of the frame. This piece has an attribution mark,
