A set of six Danish dining chairs, dating to the 1960s, crafted in richly figured wood and defined by their clean, architectural lines. The design is notable for its “floating” seat construction, where the upholstered seat appears suspended within the frame, lending a sense of lightness and careful proportion.
The seats are upholstered in deep red leather, contrasting warmly with the darker tones of the timber. Both the front edge of the seat and the backrest are subtly shaped to a gentle point, a refined detail that adds definition and a slightly sculptural quality to the otherwise restrained form. The backrests are supported by slender uprights, maintaining an open and balanced silhouette.
Rooted in the principles of Danish modern design, these chairs combine functionality with understated elegance. The thoughtful construction and distinctive shaping give them a quiet presence, well suited to both formal dining settings and more relaxed interiors.
