This exquisite early 20th century Persian Kerman Lavar rug is a stunning example of the region’s masterful weaving tradition, featuring an allover “Tree of Life” design imbued with symbolic beauty and artistic harmony. Hand-knotted in the renowned village of Lavar near Kerman in Southeast Persia, the rug’s design celebrates life, growth, and spiritual connection through a serene forest of stylized trees, flowering branches, and botanical elements.
Set on a deep navy and midnight blue background, the composition unfolds in layers of vibrant jewel tones—including sage green, soft pink, magenta, golden yellow, purple, turquoise, and red—each contributing to the rug’s vivid yet balanced character.
