Vanity storage box with integrated mirror designed by Makio Hasuike for Gedy in Italy during the 1970s.
This square container is produced in beige molded plastic and features a hinged lid that opens to reveal a mirror and a spacious storage compartment. The object reflects the restrained geometric language characteristic of Hasuike’s industrial design work during the late twentieth century.
Makio Hasuike was among the designers who helped redefine everyday accessories through rational design principles and efficient manufacturing. His collaboration with Gedy resulted in a series of functional bathroom and personal storage objects characterized by simplicity and clarity of form.
The minimalist geometry and neutral color make this piece suitable for a variety of interior contexts, from dressing tables to bathroom storage systems.
