An 18th century Continental European primitive table with a single drawer and turned ring-and-reel legs. Hand cut early dovetails, pegged joinery, a hand-planed underside, and the deep oxidation and surface you want on a piece this age. Original pegged top, later reinforced with nails.
The thick plank top has worn to a silvery patina with natural checking, old scrubbed surface, and rich graining. Primarily walnut with mixed woods throughout, as is typical of period country construction.
