Handwoven by Afshar tribal artists in southeastern Iran, the piece features sophisticated artistry, which begins in the outer borders and is evident in the beautiful tones seen throughout, such as soft red, navy blue, mint green, and soft pink. The background comprises the robust base of the carpet, creating a striking contrast against the breathtaking pattern. Rendered primarily in colorful tones, the motifs depict stylized chrysanthemums and a traditional design unique to Afshar carpets.
