Elevate your Chinoiserie collection with this vibrant 11-inch Japanese "Gold Imari" porcelain charger. Hand-painted in the legendary Arita region during the mid-20th century, this piece is a premier example of the high-contrast export ware produced by the Sanyo Toki kilns.

The central medallion features a lush, hand-enameled Chrysanthemum and Berry wreath, a classical Japanese motif symbolizing longevity and the arrival of autumn. Radiating from the center is a complex array of panels featuring alternating iron-red brocade with gold scrolls, geometric diaper patterns, and delicate botanical vignettes of bamboo and pine.

Lavish gold gilt accents provide a raised, shimmering texture to the entire surface, typical of the quality manufacture associated with the Ryuho (Dragon Peak) kiln. This substantial charger is a perfect "pop" of color for a formal mantel, a grand entryway console, or as the stunning anchor for a Grandmillennial-style gallery wall.
