The lid features a … Read more Extremely rare and valuable hand-carved solid wood jewelry box, crafted by highly skilled italian artisans (1960s). The lid features a central panel carved in high relief depicting a classical scene ("rebecca at the well" with a female figure, an amphora, and architectural elements), framed by deep carvings of plant motifs and stylized acanthus leaves on the body, supported by an elegant curved and contoured base. The interior is finely lined with velvet fabric featuring a tone-on-tone floral motif.
