The History of Gien Rambouillet: The Artist Jean Bertholle designed this iconic collection in 1955 at the request of French President, René Coty. This hand-painted service set the tables of presidents staying at the regal chateau of Rambouillet during hunting outings. Each piece is a work of art, capturing the inner world of the deeply wooded Rambouillet forest and its creatures.

Item condition: There is some surface scratching on the front of the plates. One plate has a tiny chip to the rim. Some crazing is present. One plate shows a small stain on the back. The surfaces display age-related wear. Overall condition is consistent with age and use. Please see photos for a complete assessment.

At this time, all purchases will be shipped from Lisbon, Portugal (EU). For now, all shipments to the United States will be sent via an International Standard Shipping Service and will be charged a flat rate of $49. CTT has an agreement with the United States Postal Service (USPS), so the handling/delivery of packages will be made by the USPS, and packages can be tracked using their website.
