Storage box for jewelry, makeup, or cigarettes by Eugen Schwemmle for Erhart Söhne, manufactured in the 1930s.
Brass with relief decoration and wood.
The girl in the center of the lid is a depiction of the artist's daughter.
Schwemmle (1889 Lindorf – 1979 Neuenbürg) was an architect and designer.
He studied in Stuttgart and Budapest and was a member of the Deutscher Werkbund (German Association of Craftsmen).
