This original painting by William Timmins is a quiet and thoughtful study of seagulls in motion. Timmins captures their movements and forms in a way that invites the viewer to appreciate the details of their posture and flight.
Timmins, born in 1915, had a career that spanned from commercial illustration to fine art. After studying at the Art Students League and the Grand Central School of Art, he worked in illustration before turning his attention to landscapes and wildlife, often inspired by the natural beauty of California’s Monterey Peninsula.
