This impressive antique Japanese porcelain charger or platter features a beautifully hand-painted blue and white landscape scene in the Kakiemon style. Spanning an exceptional 17 inches wide, this large and heavy piece showcases fine artistry with a detailed mountain, river, and architectural view framed by an intricate geometric and stylized border. The reverse is equally detailed with delicate underglaze blue floral sprays, a foot ring, and a central blue square maker's mark as pictured. A commanding display piece, it perfectly balances historical elegance with striking visual scale.
