A large rare 16-piece collection of Nantucket Opera House Cup Regatta mugs, sold only at the race, spanning 2002 through 2017 — a rare set representing the island’s most beloved sailing tradition.
Each mug celebrates a year of the Opera House Cup, America’s premier wooden-boat regatta, with vibrant red, white, and blue graphics that capture the timeless spirit of Nantucket.
This curated collection highlights the event’s design evolution across three distinct makers:
• Early Editions (2002–2004): Heavy ceramic mugs Made in USA with the embossed Coastal Waves hallmark — classic nautical craftsmanship.
• Mid Editions (2005–2015): Glossy M Ware China mugs featuring crisp red and white enamel graphics with blue lettering.
• Later Editions (2016–2017): Cactus Coatings, China mugs — lighter glaze, modern finish, and bold clarity.
