Murano Glass Jellyfish Sculpture – 1295 Murano
A fascinating and contemporary piece, entirely handmade by the master glassmakers of the 1295 Murano glassworks. This sculpture depicts a jellyfish suspended in glass, with a play of transparencies and colors that lends movement and lightness to the ancient and precious material of Murano glass.
The body of the jellyfish, in shades of blue and turquoise, appears to float within the glass mass, enriched with air bubbles that evoke the depths of the sea. The external facets, ground with great precision, reflect the light, creating continuous flashes and different perspectives.
Each piece is unique, the result of artisanal workmanship that embodies the age-old tradition of the island of Murano.
