This vibrant mid-century glass ashtray is attributed to Murano based on its complex triple sommerso construction and quality of craftsmanship. Layers of emerald green and yellow glass are accented with flecks of gold foil (foglia d’oro), then encased in a white lattimo layer and clear glass. The organic ruffled form, polished pontil, and lack of mold seams are all consistent with Murano production from the mid-20th century.
Perfect as a functional ashtray or sculptural accent for a console or coffee table.
