"Strafor" bookcase (Forges de Strasbourg) from the 1930s.
Double-sided modular unit in black patinated steel, featuring twelve shelves and a black solid wood top.
This unusual version was commissioned by the French government for the Versailles archives in 1933 to equip the buildings. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
