Hand-knotted in wool and silk, this 7x7 modern rug by Rug & Kilim is a new addition to the French Art Deco rug line.
On the Design:
This square rug is inspired by the more minimalist architectural sensibilities among the 1930s European works to emerge from this movement. In this particular piece, one may note that the rich brown open field is enfolded by geometric patterns in green, beige and blue throughout its borders.
Connoisseurs will further admire a subtle refinement in the texture, detail, and adaptation of scale to this high-end quality. The result is immersive and nearly indistinguishable from antique Art Deco rugs, but in an even more durable construction.
