west germany ceramics, or ceramics from west germany, are a fascinating part of design history. After world war ii, west germany became known for its unique and experimental ceramics, especially during the 1950s and 1970s. This period was marked by colorful glazes, bold patterns, and innovative shapes.
one of the most prominent features is the "fat lava" glaze, named for its resemblance to the flow of molten lava. Many of this pieces were made by scheurich, bay keramik, and carstens, who produced lamps, vases, and other decorative items.
