Portrait of a girl by the artist Ernesto Gai.
Oil painting on canvas, depicting a young girl posing.
As a backdrop, a wonderful rug made with great skill.
Ernesto Gai was born in Turin in 1886, attended an ornamentation course and then dedicated himself to painting.
He exhibited in numerous exhibitions including some Venice Biennials and at the Turin Quadrennial of 1923 and 1927, as well as at all the post-war exhibitions of the Turin Promotion Society.
This elegant portrait was created in the 1920s and bears the Promoter's exhibition number at the bottom right.
It is in an excellent state of conservation. This piece has an attribution mark,
I am sure that it is completely authentic and take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution
