Bold geometry, rich symbolism, and vivid coloration enhance the marvellous beauty of this stunning Persian Afshar from 1910s Iran. Handwoven by Afshar tribal artists in south-eastern Iran, the piece features sophisticated artistry, which begins in the outer borders and is evident in the beautiful tones seen throughout, such as navy, red, ivory, yellow, and green. The background comprises the robust base of the carpet, creating a striking contrast against the breath-taking tri-diamond design. Rendered primarily in colorful tones, the motifs depict stylized chrysanthemums and a Traditional Design unique to Afshar carpets.
