Painting # 080798 by Van Bankston is minimalism in its purest form. A grayish beige color conjures the warmth of cashmere. The three times repeated square of a grayish, brownish black travels left and right, projecting and receding. This small piece is bold with sophistication.
The painting is signed on the back. Framing is not required, having clean canvas edges. The painting is wired and ready to hang.
"I hope my art encourages the viewer to stop, pause, and take a breath. My art is an invitation to the pleasure of the present moment through the qualities of color, balance, line, form, and texture for a lifegiving and empowering experience."
