Antique Hand Knotted Kurdish Runner With All-Over Geometric Design. Antique Hand Knotted Kurdish Runner With All-Over Geometric Design. Keivan Woven Arts / rug/13-1103, country of origin / type: Iran / Kurdish, circa 1900
This Kurdish tribal runner was woven by Kurdish weavers in western Persia. The emphasis with these rugs is on their colors, and those in this early piece are very vivid and interesting. The dyes are all natural and there is lovely variation, resulting in a colorful piece with great character.
