Exceptional 1980's Mexican Modern Sterling Silver and Obsidian Snake Bangle Bracelet is by the highly collectible Taxco silversmith known as Two Trees. Brilliantly handwrought, here the ancient image of Aztec deity Quetzalcoatl—the mythic "Plumed Serpent"—is transformed into a gem of technical mastery. Boasting meticulous work and minimal chasing, the substantial bangle body is composed of .925 silver with black obsidian underscoring the artful head, tongue, and tail. This is a remarkable piece of wearable art, as well as a distinctive addition to any vintage Mexican silver collection. HALLMARKS: MEXICO, TS-30, 925.
